A Message from our Pastor...

What a joy it is to have you visit our web site! We hope you will join us in worship to hear the Good News that Christ died on the cross and rose again so that we might be saved from sin and death. We are a congregation seeking to grow in our relationship with Christ as we continue to be shaped and formed by the Holy Spirit. We live not merely as church members, but as disciples of the Risen One. 

Salem has a rich history of serving God in Rowan County through worship, service and education. For over 150 years, we have sought to remain rooted in the Scriptures and our Lutheran heritage while always being led into the future by the new things the Holy Spirit is doing in our midst. We have continued to grow and expand our ministries as God has provided resources and vision for the work of the Kingdom.

If you are looking for a church home, I invite you to worship with us and participate in some of our other activities such as Christian education, fellowship events and service to the community. While it is difficult to get to know people during worship, other activities allow time to discover more about who we are and what we do.

I would welcome the opportunity to hear about your journey of faith and where you see God leading you. Please consider scheduling a time when we can visit and get to know one another.
