Women of the ELCA

All women of Salem are invited to join in this active and service-oriented organization. There is a circle/group for everyone.

The Salem Women of the ELCA strive to:

  • create a fellowship of women within who are committed to prayer, study, service and offering
  • cooperate in the work of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as it is carried on through its boards
  • be an effective auxiliary or arm of Salem Lutheran Church as the church carries out its work of service and witness

As a community of women, we are:

  •
    • created in the image of God
    • called to discipleship in Jesus Christ
    • and empowered by the Holy Spirit

We commit ourselves to:

  • Grow in faith
  • Affirm our gifts
  • Support one another in our callings
  • Engage in ministry and action
  • Promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
